Our team includes reproductive health experts, clinical professionals, educators, and community leaders. This provides us with a holistic approach to provide school-based menstrual health training for school age children, and community-based training for their parents. We are well equipped with up-to-date clinical knowledge to dispel menstruation related myths the are so pervasive in our communities. We will eventually have a team of Trainers of Trainers, of all ages and genders, to continue to spread education, awareness, and access. Our current roster of volunteers work in three sub-counties and have trained over 240 school age girls, and 230 community promoters. And those numbers continue to grow

In Bungokho sub-county, nestled near the Eastern border of Uganda, there are some of the most beautiful – and most impoverished – parts of the world. Tragically, it is not uncommon here for many young girls to experience “Period Poverty".Period Poverty arises when feminine or other sanitary products are too expensive or are simply not available, forcing people who menstruate to go without them. This results in many young girls being removed from school due to cultural pressures, social stigmas, and/or family expectations. In Bungokho sub-county of the Mbale District, this robs thousands of girls from deciding their own futures and deciding what they want from life.
