For the past 15 years, Christine has put her passion for community health advancement into action. A certified Community Health Expert, recognized by the Ugandan Ministry of Health, Christine believes in the goals of Girls for the Future, wishing to see all children happy, healthy, and educated.

With a specialty in Public Health, and a focus in health education, Joseph holds more than 20 years of experience with health service outreach. One of his great passions is seeing the most underserved and impoverished communities be given a chance to thrive. He serves as Chairman of Girls for the Future.

Joseph is no stranger to projects aimed at the development Ugandan life, with experience in fisheries, aquaculture, and commercialization. Serving both Mbale District and as secretary with Girls for the Future: Uganda, Joseph is excited to learn all the good we can accomplish together.

SISTER GETRUDE

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in midwifery and comprehensive nursing, Getrude also hold a postgraduate degree in health management. She serves as a reproductive health specialist and counsels the well-being of adolescent girls.

Join our team

A teacher by profession, Collins is well aware of the struggles and hardships of his girl students, and it breaks his heart when period poverty forces them to abandon their education. He hopes to bring menstruation education throughout the district, increasing access to keep girls in schools.
